About EUREKA

The Fifth international workshop on Knowledge Discovery, Knowledge Management and Decision Support will take place during April 20-24, 2015 in the city of Mexico, México. It is organized by Eureka Iberoamerica and Eureka International networks http://www.eurekainternational.org, the Mexican Society of Operations Research, and Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) with the participation of the network partners from more than 60 scientific research groups settled in 20 countries of Latin America, Europe and Canada, under the lemma ‘Making trans disciplinary science and technology for business intelligence, towards sustainable development’.

Four editions of this kind of workshop have been organized by Eureka promoting and developing trans-disciplinary knowledge, from scientific fields, like Computational Intelligence, Operations Research, Management Sciences and Business Informatics, useful for Knowledge Discovery, Knowledge Management and Decision Support in collaboration with local and international scientific and academic organizations. The workshops were organized in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013 in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia; Ciudad Panamá, Panamá; Santander, Spain and Mazatlan, Mexico by Eureka. The first one in 2008 was organized inside the Iberian Latin American Congress of Operation Research of that year. Clusters of Sessions were organized by Eureka with the same objective, into the Iberian Latin American Congresses of Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, during years 2010, 2012 and 2014 with the collaboration of INFORMS, SOBRAPO and SMIO respectively.
